Ion Food Hall

Happy Lemon indeed makes me happy! It's the best drink in town! YES. I'm lovin' HAPPY LEMON! How I wished that they have more outlets around in Singapore =/

See! Even their queue tags are so CUTTTTEEE! :D

They also feature their top ten drinks which would be easier for customers who are there for the first time to try out the most-favourite drink.

Featuring Blood Orange Black Tea with Aloe (left) and Passion Fruit with Kantan and Agar (right). That was my first time ordering Blood Orange Black Tea with Aloe as I usually order Perilla Honey Lemon Juice! I didn't regret at all unlike the other time i ordered Lemon Yakult. I absolutely love it! It's a mixture of sweet and sourness but more towards sweet. Passion Fruit with Kantan and Agar is nice too! The crunchyness of Kantan with a sip of sweet passion fruit, just makes your drink just more more lively!

So the next time when you are at ion basement, do drop by and try out! I promise, you wouldn't regret, AT ALL :D

Overall Ratings: 4.5/5 sweetness!

Next, Tsukiji Gindaco (Takoyaki)

I remembered the very first time I came across this store at Ion's food hall. I was happy, excited and really excited! They are exactly the same the ones I saw it in Japan! It's like a dream come true, that kind of feeling ya' know :D After I came across this store, I have stopped buying the Takoyaki balls that are 3 for $2.30-$2-50 kind, it's INCOMPARABLE! So, trust me, you would not regret. It's really the BEST in Singapore!

They used to only have the original flavour, however they have bring in two more! I have only tried the original and the one with the egg mayo topping! I LOVE IT!. The crunchyness of the takoyaki with their sauce and a mixture of egg mayo. Heaven.

Overall Ratings: 4.5/5 octopus!

Till then, enjoy food.

Love,
C.

Food in Plaza Singapura

The Bratwurst shop (Basement 2, Plaza Singapura beside Chippy British takeaway)

This was what I had for dinner on wednesday! My mother and me bought this home. Both of us ordered Mushroom and Cheese and we chose spicy chicken! The mushrooms were well-cooked, chicken sausage was indeed spicy but it was also well-cooked. However, the bread itself was too hard and on top of it, the chicken sausage did not fill up the bread which leads to having to taste only the bread at my first bite.

Overall Ratings: 2.5/5 hotdogs

Next Up! Kai Sushi & Grill (Plaza Singapura, Basement 2)

First of all, the slice of the sashimi is too thinly cut and it was filled with too much rice which overtake the taste of sashimi as it was suppose to be the main lead. I probably will not purchase the sushi from this store EVER.

Overall Ratings: 0.5/5 sashimi

C.

Food Around Cineleisure

BOTAK JONES (SCAPE)

Last week, I went to Botak Jones at Scape Park with my friend, which was just opposite Cineleisure. It was my first time having to try out the food there. Both of us ordered Cajun Chicken with 2 side dishes. She had Coleslaw and Double Baked Cheese Potato whereas I had Butter Boiled Sweet Corn and Double Baked Cheese Potato as well.

The chicken was spicy and it was just nice. However, there was not any juicyness, so it was quite a disappointment. The butter boiled sweet corn was not that nice, and I absolutely hate using my hand to eat it. So it would much be better if the butter taste was more rich. Despite the disappointment, I absolutely enjoyed my double baked cheese potato, so did my friend! The mash potato not only had the cheese cooked right but it has small pieces of potatoes too! I would rate it 4.5/5 just for the cheese potato itself.

The environment was in the outdoor, so I would recommend you to visit when the weather is not that warm! We were feeling absolutely warm that day. However, it was pleasant to see that they have a non-smoking area sign there, which is fantastic!

They have specific halal outlets you may wish to check out first in case of disappointment!
So if you are wondering where are the outlets they have, here it is!->

Overall rating: 3/5 juiciness!

Next up, BEST FRIES FOREVER.

Does it sound familiar to you? Ring a bell? BFF = Best Friends Forever. Indeed, such a creative name! This store is located at the basement of Cineleisure just besides Cathay ticketing counter. It's yellow and bright colours of the store would catch your attention immediately.

They have altogether 7 different flavours in which you may choose from. They have wild wild west (beef & nacho cheese), gusto garlic, macho cheese, curry, ole ole, friendly fire and wazabee. I wanted to try something spicy and cheesy so I ordered wild wild west! I would much prefer the sauce than the fries itself. The fries were too soft for me, and some were even burnt =/

This reminded me of Yella Fellas which was located at bugis junction basement, but it has closed down. The fries were much better, I could easily order the large one. It's quite sad that it has closed down, or relocated which I'm not sure of.

So, would best fries forever become my best friend forever? Sorry, I don't think so =/ Would it become yours? Do go try out when you are at cineleisure!

Overall rating: 2.5/5 juiciness!

that's all for now folks!
